Police arrest accused serial car burglar

DELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A video viewed more than 17,000  times has helped DeLand police officers arrest an alleged car burglar.

In the video, authorities say a man is seen looking at some locked cars, and he was close enough to the camera that someone was able to identify him.  Now, Jospeh Evans, 28, is charged with 37 counts of burglary.  

Detectives said Evans went on a break-in spree, between May and July, hitting up cars all over DeLand. Officers said when they arrested Evans, they found stolen items including jewelers, watches, sunglasses and purses.
