Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Deltona

A man, who the Volusia County Sheriff's office originally said had life-threatening injuries, actually has non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a SUV.

Deputies say a SUV traveling eastbound on Saxon Boulevard struck a male pedestrian, identified as 52-year-old Timothy Dixon, near Finlan Drive. Right after that, another car hit the SUV.

Both drivers were reportedly hurt, but are expected to be okay. The pedestrian was evaluated at the Central Florida Regional Hospital and was determined to have just non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation into the incident revealed that the vehicles traveling on Saxon Boulevard had a green light at the time of the crash and no charges are pending.
