OUC offers extensions, waiving fees for federal workers impacted by shutdown

The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) on Thrursday announced that it will help customers directly impacted by the federal government shutdown.

The utility says it realizes financial constraints may affect timely bill payments, so it is offering extensions, waiving late fees and making referrals to utility assistance programs and other agencies.

OUC provides electric, water, chilled water and lighting services – and also serves as the billing agent for the City of Orlando and Orange County, which provides wastewater and solid waste services.

Customers in need of assistance due to the federal shutdown should contact OUC at 407-423-9018 during regular business hours.
