Orlando PM Weather Forecast: August 2, 2025

The weekend continues with the heat and humidity as well as the chance for some afternoon storms. Meteorologist Laurel Blanchard has the times out the rain for the rest of the weekend and gives an update on the Tropics.

Central Florida is getting some slight relief from the raging heat of the summer as afternoon and evening storms push through on Saturday. However, heat advisories are possible for Sunday as temperatures are expected to climb back up.

Here's what to expect from the weather tonight, tomorrow and headed into next week.

What will the weather look like tonight?

What To Expect:

Afternoon and evening sea breeze storms will continue to fire up across the region. With the clashing of the sea breezes, we could see some stronger storms pop up. The main threats are gusty winds, torrential rain, vivid lightning and the possibility of hail in the stronger storms.

The storms will fizzle during the overnight hours as temperatures drop into the mid-70s with partly cloudy skies.

What's next:

The back half of the weekend starts off dry, with the temperatures climbing back up into the mid-90s quickly.

With the humidity, temperatures will feel like between 100–107 degrees, riding the line of heat advisories being issued for Sunday.

Showers and storms will start to pick up Sunday afternoon, with scattered storms lingering into the early overnight hours. The main threats from these storms are gusty winds, torrential rain, vivid lightning and the possibility of hail in the stronger storms.

Lows on Sunday night will fall back into the mid-and-upper-70s with muggy conditions.

What will the weather look like next week?

Dig deeper:

The work week ahead features more of the same with afternoon storms.

A frontal boundary lingering off to the north is trapping tropical moisture, raising our chances of rain through the majority of next week. Widespread storms are expected in the afternoon and evening hours.

Highs will slowly start to back down into the low-90s.
