ORLANDO, Fla. - Central Florida will see typical late August heat and humidity this week, with scattered thunderstorms and rising rain chances heading into the weekend.

Tonight will bring a handful of thunderstorms, but not many, with temperatures falling into the mid-70s overnight.

What to Expect:
Thursday will see slightly fewer storms than Wednesday, with hot and humid conditions and most areas staying dry.

Looking ahead, a standard late August weather pattern is expected, with scattered afternoon storms each day but nothing extreme. Rain chances will rise this weekend, reaching 70% by Sunday.
Numerous afternoon and evening storms are forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with inland temperatures away from the beaches peaking near 97 degrees on Saturday.
