Orlando ranked #2 in best cities for a summer job

Orlando residents won't have to go far if you are looking for a summer job.

Orlando was named the second best place in America to get a summer job by WalletHub. Scottsdale, Arizona is number one and Columbia, Maryland is number three.

The site used three factors to determine the rank of 182 cities listed in the summer jobs survey. Those were a strong youth job market (ages 16-24), affordability, and downtime friendless.

Disney and Universal combined are looking to hire 6,500 new employees for their theme park properties Disney is even doubling some of its hiring bonuses for some summer jobs as it looks to fill 3,500 positions. A housekeeper can get a $1,200 bonus for a job paying $10.50 per hour. That's up from $500. And it's for full-time or part-time hires.
