Orange County deputies search for credit card thief
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Orange County deputies are searching for a suspect behind a credit card theft.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office says that around 6:10 a.m. on August 24th, a man pulled into the 7-11 gas station located at 39th Street and Orange Blossom Trail. He got out of his truck and a thief approached him from behind, reached into his back pants pocket, and removed his wallet.
They say that the victim chased the suspect as he ran through the gas station parking lot and south on Orange Blossom trail, but to no avail.
Twenty minutes later, deputies say that the victim's credit card was used by the 5-foot tall suspect at the Marathon Gas Station located a 300 North Kirkman Road. Surveillance video captured the suspect.
