Officials: Atlanta man arrested for stabbing coworker

An Atlanta man has been arrested after police say he stabbed his coworker after work.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office said that officers were called to the 200 block of Morris Brown Avenue in northwest Atlanta on 11 p.m. on Saturday after a report of a person stabbed.

When they got there, the deputies found a 43-year-old male victim dead, apparently from stab wounds, the sheriff said.

After a search, officers detained 32-year-old Jose Gonzalez, a coworker of the unnamed victim at a construction company.

Officials say that Gonzalez and the victim had an altercation after work which led to the stabbing.

A knife was also found at the scene.

Gonzalez has been charged with murder. The investigation is ongoing.
