Ocala Regional Medical Center opens 34-bed ICU unit
Ocala Regional Medical Center celebrated the opening of its 34-bed expanded intensive care unit with a ribbon cutting and tours of the new facility Tuesday.
The unit is part of a $30 million investment in response to the community's growing need for critical care services.
Officials say additional projects to follow will include renovating cath lab recovery and post anesthesia care units and the creation of a dedicated six-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit for open heart patients.
