HOLLY HILL, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Police in Holly Hill are on the hunt for a driver accused of slamming a stolen car into a truck and then trying to carjack a mother!
It was all caught on surveillance video. The stolen car is seen crashing into a truck so hard it pushed it back down the street.
Holly Hill police say two guys stole a car out of Daytona Beach Shores Tuesday morning then crashed head-on into the truck.
After the wreck, the driver of the stolen car tried to steal another car, but a mother and small child were inside. Police say she fought him off using a can of soup!
“The driver is still on the run. We're working right now to identify him. We do have some leads we're working.”
There was also reportedly a 22-year-old passenger in the stolen car. He was injured and taken to the hospital. Police say he'll be charged with having a concealed, stolen gun.
Police are asking anyone who can help identify the suspect to give them a call.
