Teen boyfriend arrested, accused of hiding missing 13-year-old girl, police say

A 13-year-old Florida girl who was reported missing in Brevard County has been found safe, according to the Melbourne Police Department.

Officers said they received a tip from the family late Sunday night, which led them to the teen's location at a home in Melbourne. 

Authorities said her 15-year-old boyfriend was hiding her in his home unbeknownst to his guardian. He was taken into custody on a charge of harboring a missing/runaway juvenile, officials said. 

The backstory:

The Satellite Beach Police Department said the teen girl was last seen Jan. 29 at the Scoops Ice Cream shop in Atlantic Plaza in the Brevard County area. 

Her family offered a $10,000 cash reward for any information leading to her whereabouts.

What you can do:

Police said they are still looking into whether anyone else will be charged for knowingly housing a runaway.
