Man on scooter killed in hit-and-run

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash on State Road 50 and State Road 520 in east Orange County.  The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to troopers, the crash involved a vehicle and a man on a scooter.   That scooter operator died at Orlando Regional Medical Center.  Witnesses described the hit-and-run vehicle as a light-colored SUV with front-end damage.   It was last seen headed eastbound on SR 50.   Anyone who sees this vehicle should call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477) or the FHP at 407-737-2213.
