Man gets life sentence for fatal shooting during argument

A southwest Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting a man during an argument.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune (https://goo.gl/AeRFuF ) reports that 35-year-old Rufus Adams was sentenced Thursday. He was convicted last month of second-degree murder.

Witnesses say Adams got into an argument with William Shipp in the driveway of Adams' home in January 2016. Adams eventually told Shipp to leave, and when Shipp refused, Adams shot him multiple times.
