Man arrested for possession of suspected drugs, including Fentanyl in the shape of children's candy
SANFORD, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Sanford Police Department says that they conducted surveillance in a Sanford neighborhood after receiving several citizen complaints of drug activity.
During that time, police say they observed a subject, identified as Floyd Aikens, driving. Aikens had an active warrant out of Seminole County for a Violation of Probation.
Police reportedly then contacted Aikens through a traffic stop. During this, the odor of Cannabis was coming from his vehicle. Police found 435 grams suspected Cannabis, approximately 24 grams of suspected Fentanyl, and 11 Hydrocodone pills were located inside.
The suspected Fentanyl ws in the shape of square, multicolor pills, and resembled children's vitamins or candy. A field test showed positive results that this was Fentanyl.
Aikens was arrested for his Active Warrant out of Seminole County, Trafficking in Fentanyl, Posession of Cannabis with Intent to Sell, and Possession of Hydrocodone.
