'Granny Nannies' employee steals $14,839 from elderly victims
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Gainesville Police Department says that they arrested 37-year-old Carmen Michelle Walker after she obtained debit cards from victims and withdrew $14,839 over 6 months.
Police say both of the victims entrusted Walker, who was employed as a certified nursing assistant through Granny Nannies. Walker was able to convince the elderly victims to disclose their PIN numbers to their cards and used the funds for personal use.
Police were reportedly notified of the fraud by the victim's financial advisors.
