Grandmother shot inside Titusville home

A grandmother is recovering from a gunshot wound to her leg, after her home was hit with a barrage of bullets from a drive-by shooting on Tuesday night, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Christina Brown, the woman’s daughter, says her mom was watching TV on her couch around 10:30 p.m. when the shooting started.  The home was riddled with more than ten bullet holes.

Investigators with Brevard County Sheriff’s Office say they don’t believe grandmother, or her daughter and grandchildren, who were sleeping at the time, were targeted by the shooter.  They do think a relative who lives at the home, but was not there at the time of the shooting, was targeted in some type of retaliatory shooting.

Deputies are asking the public to call them if they have any information about the shooter.   Anyone with information should contact Titusville Police or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
