Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal is now a Florida deputy

Welcome the newest, and undoubtedly the most intimidating, member of the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has been dubbed an auxiliary deputy for the Sheriff's Office.

On Friday, the Broward Sheriff tweeted out photos of Deputy Shaq with his new colleagues. The basketball legend and the Sheriff then sat down to discuss ways law enforcement works to keep communities safe.

This isn't Shaq's first time working in the law enforcement field. Hehas served as a reserve cop in Miami Beach and Golden Beach and became a deputy in Clay County, Georgia in 2016.

Shaq retired from the NBA in 2011.
