Florida woman, dog killed in hit-and-run
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - - A hit-and-run driver hit and killed a woman and her dog while they were out on a walk in Florida.
Police say the crash happened Wednesday night in Davie.
Sgt. Pablo Castaneda tells news outlets the woman was standing on the side of a road, talking to a neighbor when the car hit them. The woman and dog, which was on a leash, died at the scene. The other woman was taken to the hospital.
Castaneda says witnesses told investigators a man was driving the dark-colored sedan and the passenger may have been in the vehicle.
