Florida boy, 13, accused of killing man during dispute
WINTER GARDEN, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - The Winter Garden Police Department says a 13-year-old involved in the shooting and killing of a man early Thursday has turned himself into authorities.
Police say Vamari Bostic is accused of killing of 25-year-old James Bacon, shot and killed around 2 a.m. near West Crown Point Road and Edgeway Drive. According to investigators, Bacon was shot in front of his family.
"Officers attempted CPR, and EMS transported the individual to the hospital, but attempts to revive the victim were unsuccessful," police said.
They said the shooting may have been because of a dispute Bostic and Bacon have been having for weeks.
Police say the boy is charged with first-degree murder.
