Flooding concerns arise as more storms are expected to pass through
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A big concern for Thursday is that the incoming storms will wreak more havoc on the roads, as the Turnpike and I-4 near Universal Orlando Resort flooded on Wednesday.
Traffic went down to just one lane on Wednesday, as water flooded and covered the road. Cars had to slow down and go around the standing water.
Fox 35 Dana Jay visited I-4 south of Downtown, near Universal Orlando Resort on Thursday morning and the roadways looked fine, but concerns are focused on when the storms roll back through later in the day.
The Florida Highway Patrol is urging drivers to stay cautious in some spots, even on Thursday morning, as there may still be standing water or wet spots in some parts of the roadways.
