Fallen officer honored with roadway

State and city leaders unveiled a memorial highway marker to honor a fallen Orlando police officer.

Lieutenant Debra Clayton's family and fellow officers gathered around the sign on Monday for the unveiling.  It is located along the 3100 block of Princeton Street.  Her family said they are honored that she will be remembered forever with this special designation.

Lt. Clayton was shot and killed in the line of duty in January. Her accused killer, Markeith Loyd, is awaiting trials for her murder and the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Sade Dixon.

Clayton would have turned 43 on Monday.
