Elderly man arrested molesting victim under 12-years-old
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Osceola County Sheriff's Office says that their detectives have arrested 70-year-old Luis Eduardo Linares of Kissimmee for the offense of four counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.
They say that their investigation revealed that over the course of a year, Linares, who was a family friend, gained the trust of the victim (under 12-years-old) and the family by purchasing various gifts for the victim throughout the year.
Linares used the opportunities, when he was alone with the victim, to molest the child on at least four separate occasions, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
Linares was reportedly booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
The sheriff's office believes that additional victims may exist. Anyone with any information regarding this case or additional victims is asked to contact the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS, where information leading to a felony arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
