Dog rescued from 75-foot tree
KERN COUNTY (FOX 13) - Firefighters are no strangers to getting out their ladders and rescuing cats caught in trees, but what about doing the same for dogs?
While it’s uncommon, it’s not completely unheard of!
It happened in Kern County, California last week after a tiny Chihuahua somehow made his way 25 feet up a 75-foot-tall Cypress tree!
The Kern County Animal Services Facebook page posted photos of the rescue on September 16 saying the dog, named Petra, had somehow gotten away from his owner and climbed the tree himself.
Someone spotted his little head poking out, so they alerted the local fire station, who came to his rescue.
He has since been returned to his owner, safe and sound.
