Disney's Hollywood Studios holding casting call for 'Star Wars Galaxy's Edge'
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - If working in a galaxy far, far away sounds cool to you, you're in luck! Disney World is holding auditions for its new Star Wars land.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is looking for people to play "gatherers" in Savi's Workship inside the land's Black Spire Outpost.
According to the audition casting call:
"Gatherers: Warm and inviting; capable of leading a structured interactive
experience. Gatherers have dedicated their lives to restoring balance in the galaxy. Adept at
engaging authentically with visitors. Though slightly quirky and mysterious, the Gatherer is
always personable and humorous. Good comedic and improvisational instincts. All abilities,
genders and types welcome."
Your job will be to guide guests in building their own unique lightsabers. You'll also amaze them with your deep knowledge of the Force and train them to be Jedi's.
Auditions in central Florida are being held Tuesday, May 21 at 4 p.m. at Animal Kingdom's rehearsal facility. Callbacks will be held May 28 and 29 in Orlando.
Actors should prepare for their audition with the provided script.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando on Aug. 29.
