Orange County deputies are asking for the community’s help in solving a mystery. The only clues: the victim's tattoos.

Rain poured down, when deputies and rescuers were at the crime scene in Pine Hills. That's where they say a person walking by found a bleeding, unconscious woman on Silver Star Rd. Robert Rene's boxing gym, Rene's Dynamic Sports Center, is a stone's throw from where she was found.

“I mean, it's sad, for anything like that to happen... woman, man, child,” Rene lamented.

With little else to go on, deputies are now looking for the community’s help in identifying the woman, whom they say is in the hospital with a gunshot wound. They released photos of tattoos she has on her body: a mushroom on her toe, proverb on her arm, and dream-catcher on her shoulder. Rene says it's not enough for him to recognize.

“If you've got tattoos covered, that don't mean nothing to me,” Rene said, “but I see your face, and that means more to me.”

But if these hints ring a bell with anyone, deputies are calling on them to please call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office or Crimeline, and shed some light on who this woman is and how she wound up there. Rene, whose gym has stood in the shopping plaza for 22 years, said everyone needs to watch out for each other.

“We just have to hope that increased surveillance, patrols, observations do take place,” Rene said.

Deputies are still searching for the shooter, but their focus seems to be on identifying this woman. The Crimeline number is 800-423-TIPS.
