Detective: Luis Toledo killed his family

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Sgt. A.J. Pagliari, a lead homicide detective for the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, was on the stand most of Tuesday morning in the Luis Toledo murder trial.

"Which direction does the circumstance lead?" he asked. "That Luis Toledo is the one that killed everybody," he said, answering his own question. 

Luis Toledo is accused of killing his wife Yessenia Suarez and her two kids in their Deltona home four years ago. Their bodies were never found.

The defense on Tuesday put the pressure on Sgt. Pagliari. 

Lawyer Jeff Deen said, "Who killed the kids?" Sgt. Pagliari responded, "Luis Toledo." Deen said, "Do you have evidence of that?" Sgt Pagliari said, "No sir."

Toledo told detectives he killed Suarez in self defense. Said a neighbor killed her kids and then took them out of the home to get rid of the bodies.

Sgt. Pagliari said Toledo changed his story several times.
