Deputies: Husband shot wife, turned gun on himself in Palm Coast

PALM COAST, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Deputies are investigating a shooting in Palm Coast.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office says that they are investigating a shooting at Beechwood Lane in Palm Coast.

Deputies responded around 10 a.m. on Sunday, after a 911 call was received stating that an adult woman and man had both been shot.

Investigators say the couple has been identified as Maureen Lockwood , 55, and her husband, Ralph Lockwood, 63.

Officials say the woman told deputies she had been shot by her husband, who then turned the gun on himself after a martial dispute.

Deputies say both the man and woman and were alive when taken to the hospital, where Ralph Lockwood was died from his injuries.

Investigators say the woman remains in the hospital and reportedly is in stable condition.
