Deputies: Dead body found beside vehicle in Indian River County
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - At approximately 9:25 p.m., Indian River Sheriff’s Office deputies say they responded to a shooting on 38th Avenue. They located Don Phillips II of Gifford deceased beside a vehicle.
Deputies reportedly then began canvassing the neighborhood. FOX 35 was told that crime scene detectives processed the scene for forensic evidence.
Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar stated, "Our detectives worked overnight speaking with neighbors and family members. Someone knows what happened last night and we need them to come forward with information. We will continue to seek justice in this case and get the killer off the streets."
