POINCIANA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A Poinciana couple was held up at gunpoint while walking their 6-month old daughter with them in a stroller on New Year's Day, authorities say. Now, detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect in the armed robbery.
Around 3 p.m. on New Year's Day, deputies responded to Darby Drive in Poinciana, where the couple said they were approached by a man who asked them for marijuana. The victims said they told him they did not have any and continued walking, but a few minutes later, the man returned and pointed a gun toward the baby and demanded their cell phones.
The suspect fled the area with the victims' cell phones. He was last seen running towards Marigold Avenue. The suspect is described as as a black man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored sweatpants and Jordan slippers with socks.
