Deported wife of retired Marine hoping to be reunited with family
LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The wife of a Polk County retired Marine has been living in Mexico for about six months after being deported.
Alejandra Juarez says she fell into a deep depression the first week because she kept thinking that someone would call and say she could come home. That call hasn’t come.
Her family has been split apart. Juarez’s young daughter moving to Mexico with her. While her teenager stayed in Florida with dad to finish high school.
“Every night we pray that I can go back and we can be a family again,” Juarez said.
She admits that she entered the United States illegally around 20 years ago. She then married a marine and the couple had two kids.
Juarez says she’s still fighting to return to the United States. She has a blog and a petition online. She also has some help from Washington.
