Death investigation at Casselberry park
CASSELBERRY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Casselberry Police are conducting a death investigation after a man was found shot to death in a local park.
According to investigators, someone called 911 at around 8:12 p.m. Monday. Police say the victim, who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s, was discovered dead at Lake Hodge Park, which is parallel to Osceola Trail.
Police say they also found a blue, 4-door Kia had been driven into the front of a residence, causing minor damage to the home. The driver, a 17-year-old white male was discovered to have suffered a single gunshot wound to his head.
It's reported that officers immediately performed CPR on the victim until the Seminole County Fire Department arrived. However, unfortunately, efforts to revive the victim were not successful and the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Officers were on scene collecting evidence and talking to neighbors for hours on Monday. Casselberry Police Investigators are still conducting interviews and reviewing evidence at this time.
Police believe that the three suspects are black and in their late teens or early twenties. There is also 1 female, whose race is unknown. They were last seen leaving in a dark color passenger car.
