Coast Guard rescues 3 people, 2 dogs
WILMETTE, IL - The United States Coast Guard performed a rescue on rough waters near Wilmette, Illinois on Sunday.
During strong winds, a sailboat became de-masted and couldn't return to shore. The Coast Guard traveled out and rescued two dogs and three people. The sailboat was left at anchor with its navigation lights on.
The boat was towed away on Monday morning.
