Children injured after school bus collides with truck

APOPKA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Authorities are investigating after a school bus was involved in a crash on Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Orange County Fire Rescue, the bus collided with a pickup truck near the intersection of  Clarcona Road and 13th Street in Apopka.  Rescuers say some of the 14 children on board the bus suffered minor injuries. Two kids and one adult were taken to Florida Hospital for treatment. 

The driver of the pickup truck told FOX 35 News that he was attempting to turn when the crash occurred. A spokesperson with the Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of that pickup truck was driving with a suspended driver's license and had no insurance.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
