Child psychologist sentenced for molesting young girl, posting photos

A former child psychologist will spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a young girl and posting pictures of her and other children online.

Cobb County's district attorney said Jonathan Gersh pleaded guilty to six counts of child molestation and four counts of sexual exploitation of children Friday morning.

The molestation happened at the child's Marietta home from the time she was in kindergarten until third grade.

The girl's mother said Gersh manipulated her into a relationship in order to gain access to her daughter.

The judge sentenced Gersh to 40 years with 20 to serve in prison and the rest to spend on probation.
