Child airlifted after being bitten on face by dog

PALM BAY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A dog has bitten a child in Brevard County, authorities say.  

A two-year-old was injured around 5:30 p.m. on Friday on Niagara Street, near Jupiter Boulevard in Palm Bay.

The child, who was bitten on the face, was taken to an area hospital before being airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital, police said.  

The breed of dog was not immediately known and police are continuing their investigation.
