Chester students earn $1,000 shopping sprees for their work in school

Several Chester students are being recognized for their outstanding work at Chester Community Charter School with a shopping spree!

FOX 29’s Thomas Drayton stopped by the Walmart in Eddystone Wednesday morning where students got to spend their rewards!

Nine students were each given $1,000 to spend at Walmart.

Administrators say these nine students were rewarded for their progress in school, and each had made the most progress in their respective schools. Each school has around 500 students.

It is the second year the school rewarded students with shopping sprees. You can see how some of the students spent their money in the video above.
