Cat lovers invited to ‘Meowga' with shelter pets

TAVARES, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - You bring the yoga mats, we bring the shelter cats!

Join the Lake County Animal Shelter and LEASH, Inc. for “Meowga” on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at the Lake County Extension Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.

Relax, stretch and unwind surrounded by carefree felines during the hour-long program taught by Lisa McDonald, an experienced, certified yoga instructor who strives to bring laughter into class, allowing students to relax and enjoy their experience without judgement. Beginners are welcome.

“Namaste” a while and adopt one of these purrfect pets on site, or visit the shelter nearby after class to meet your furrever friend. Adoptable cats are always $10, or buy one get one free.

Space is limited. A $20 suggested donation will benefit Lake County shelter pets. RSVP in advance here, or donate at the door.
