Body of missing man found in Tomoka River
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Authorities say the body of an Ormond Beach man, reported missing on Sunday, was recovered in the Tomoka River on Monday afternoon.
Investigators with the Ormond Beach Police Department were assisted by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in searching the river behind Circle Oaks Trail. FWC was able to recover a body from the water, approximately 400 yards from where 31-year-old Brent Davis was last seen.
The medical examiner has confirmed that the body is that of Davis. Investigators had previously called the disappearance of Davis "suspicious," but no other details were immediately released.
