COCOA, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - The body of a missing Brevard County mother has been located in Osceola County, authorities say.
Detectives and crime scene technicians were at a remote area near Nova Road and Deer Park Rd.,
where Tashaun Jackson, 31, was found.
Jackson was last seen nearly a week ago on surveillance video at the 7-Eleven in the 900-block of Dixon Boulevard in Cocoa. She had gone to the store to buy milk for her children and never returned.
The 31-year-old was previously a victim in a case of attempted sexual battery and burglary, and she recently gave a deposition in that investigation.
Jackson's family has been notified. The investigation is active, according the Cocoa Police Department, with assistance from Osceola Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
