Police in a Texas town say they’re aware of a bizarre doorbell video that shows a random person walk up to a home, then eat a banana while wearing a Joe Biden mask.

According to FOX 4 in Dallas, the incident happened around 8:05 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, in Watauga, about 15 miles north of Fort Worth. It was caught on the homeowner’s Nest camera.

The person then runs their fingers over the camera twice before eating the banana through their mask, then walks off after eating the fruit.

What we don't know:

Police say they don’t know who the person is – or why they randomly walked up to a doorbell camera to eat a banana in a mask – but investigators also say they haven’t committed a crime. Police looked for the person, but they were unable to locate them.

What they're saying:

"Although the individual's choice of attire and snack may have raised a few eyebrows, neither appears to have violated the law at this time," the Watauga Police Department said in a statement. "And while we can't explain the costume, the banana, or the apparent political identity crisis, we can confirm that being bizarre is not, in itself, a criminal offense."

"The Watauga Police Department takes these types of reports seriously, however, and we encourage residents to continue reporting suspicious activity, even when the circumstances are a little bananas."
