Battery causes fire inside South Brevard County airport hangar

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - There was a fire inside a hangar at South Brevard's Valkaria Airport this Wednesday morning, according to the Brevard County Fire Rescue.

Units say they responded to reports of smoke coming from a hangar. They quickly got inside the hangar and extinguished the fire within seconds.

They say that a battery charging a powered parachute motor appeared to be the cause.
