Amazon announces 'augmented reality' option through app
ORLANDO, Fl. (WOFL FOX 35) - Taking shopping to another level, Amazon announced a new “augmented reality” option on their app Wednesday.
It’s a way to see what something looks like in your home, before it’s even there. Amazon says to access the technology you need to have an iPhone 6S or later with iOS 11 installed.
Shoppers can see products like furniture and electronics through the “AR View” before deciding on what to buy. Local experts say augmented reality technology has been around for a while, but it’s becoming more popular.
