21-year-old woman killed in hit-and-run crash

Police are looking for the people involved in a hit-and-run crash this morning that killed a woman in New Smyrna Beach. 

Police say the crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 3200 block of SR 44.

According to police, 21-year-old Kaelee Morrell, was driving a with another passenger when they collided with a 2006 Chevy Tahoe. Both cars went off the road. 

Morrell was treated at the scene, but was later died. Her passenger was transported to Halifax Hospital with minor injuries. 

Police say the occupants of the Chevy Tahoe remain unidentified.
