PIERSON, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Firefighters late Wednesday were battling a two-alarm fire at a fernery in Pierson, Florida.
The call was received just before 9 p.m., when it was reported that a metal structure on E. Washington Ave. was engulfed in flames. Fire officials say a few propane tanks exploded during the fire, but luckily, there were no injuries.
Several agencies were called out to fight the blaze, which was under control by 11 p.m. There is extensive damage to the property, and the exact cause remains under investigation.
