10-year-old Orlando boy airlifted to hospital after mini-bike crash
ORLANDO, Fla. - A 10-year-old boy was airlifted to a children's hospital after colliding with a vehicle in DeLand on Sunday evening.
Timeline:
Around 4:47 p.m., the boy was riding a small motorcycle, known as a mini-bike, and was traveling southbound towards Orator Lane, according to the DeLand Police Department (DPD).
A Volkswagen traveling northbound and approaching Orator Lane collided with the boy as they both entered the intersection.
The boy sustained serious injuries from the crash and was transported to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
The crash is still under investigation.
