1 WB Lane of Saxon Blvd closed near Deltona
DELTONA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Drivers traveling westbound Saxon Boulevard from Deltona to Interstate 4, need to plan some extra time for their commute, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) says.
The right lane of westbound Saxon Boulevard, near the I-4 overpass, is closed for safety. The left lane remains open. Crews are assessing a depression that has formed deep underground, and are working to correct the issue.
FDOT says a concrete mix will be pumped underground to compact and strengthen soils below the depression, and until that happens, the right lane will remain closed.
FDOT is working to get a construction team in place to perform the corrective work and is establishing a timetable.
