Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are looking for witnesses who saw a crash at John Young  and Central Florida parkways around noon on Tuesday.  Five vehicles were involved and one person is in critical condition.

Mears bus driver Douglas Haney remains hospitalized after the bus somehow collided with a semi truck.

"When I looked at it, I just knew it was bad. Especially when you see a bus inside the trailer and a car underneath it,” said Jessie Lott, who works nearby.

A total of five vehicles were involved and six people were taken to the hospital.  Investigators say the semi and van were stopped at a red light on Central Florida Parkway.  The bus was going northbound and had the green light.  Troopers are trying to determine which way the black Audi and the black SUV were going. The vehicles were left mangled.

Jacy Torres says her father saw what happened.  “Whatever bus that is, tried to dodge the Audi but the Audi already had crashed into him which was a domino effect caused the bus to crash into the truck and the black car to crash into the truck and the little white van to crash too.”

Orville Ortiz is a friend of the Audi driver.  He said, “I just hope he’s ok, may God be with him.”

Troopers identified the Audi driver as 19-year-old Christian Del Gual. The driver of the black SUV is 32-year-old Andrew Nelson.

Investigators plan to view surveillance from traffic cameras to find out what really happened.  Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact Florida Highway Patrol.
