Ga. teen working to support mom after losing everything in hurricane
CONYERS, Ga. - A 17-year-old is doing whatever it takes to get him and his mom back on their feet after they lost everything in a natural disaster.
Michael Millin and his mom had one suitcase when they arrived in Georgia. Everything else they lost when Hurricane Irma destroyed their home in St. John.
Millin told FOX 5 he got a job at Taco Bell to help him and his mom rebuild their lives. He rides a bike someone in the Conyers community gave him to get to work, which is his only means of transportation.
When Millin's boss at Taco Bell learned about his story, he surprised the teen by taking him shopping for clothes and school supplies. Kali Thomas said he hopes Millin's story will touch others as much as it did him.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the Millins. If you'd like to donate, click here.
