Tyre Sampson's mom at civil trial: 'They took an innocent kid'

Nekia Dodd, Tyre Sampson's mother, remembered her son during testimony on Wednesday. Tyre Sampson was on a drop tower ride at ICON Park in March 2022 and fell off the ride -- and died. Officials determined that Sampson was too large to be on the ride and that one of the seats was manually adjusted to accommodate him. As the ride dropped to the ground and stopped, Sampson slipped out of the restraints and fell to the ground. Sampson's parents, Nekia and Yarnell, both filed a civil wrongful death lawsuit against Fun Time, the ride manufacturer.
