FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Brooks Garner shares an update on the weekend forecast for Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida area.

A stationary front will remain draped across Central Florida through the weekend. On Friday, another afternoon of slow-moving, torrential storms can be expected.

Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are monitoring four tropical disturbances swirling in the Atlantic Basin, including a newly designated Invest 99L off the U.S. East Coast and Invest 90L off the Gulf Coast.

Friday will be similar to Thursday. The morning will start dry, but the chances for widespread storms increase as the day progresses.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is watching a new area of concern in the northwest Gulf of Mexico, bringing the number of tropical disturbances being monitored to five.
